Choosing which colors to use when coloring can be confusing but it does not have to be.
When was the last time someone told you that the clothes you were wearing did not match AT ALL ? Probably never. Ok.. well maybe once..LOL… But you picked out your clothes at a store, chose the colors and are wearing them. The same can be said for the furniture and colors throughout your home.
Granted, some of us are a bit eccentric and will live in an environments where colors seem to have exploded. But , for the most part, we all already know which colors to put with one another. But when we are coloring, it’s like we have a brain freeze and suddenly we cannot figure out what color to use with pink !
Choosing a color palette does not have to been so much work.
The first thing to remember is to trust your instincts.
Is there a color that you find yourself using often?
Are all the green pencils in your colored pencils sets shorter than the rest of the colors?
We all have a favorite color or a few favorite colors, but often times choosing colors that we would not normally use forces us to get out of our comfort zone. The results will surprise you !
Go beyond your instincts and venture into a world of colors that you would not normally use. You can find inspiration in your own environment or you can also find color palettes online.
